The Relationship Between Parity and Placenta Previa Incidence at Dewi Sartika General Hospital, Kendari City

This study aims to determine the relationship between parity and the incidence of placenta previa at Dewi Sartika General Hospital in Kendari City. This research uses a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The instrument used is secondary data from patient medical records registered at the hospital in May 2023. The research sample consisted of 125 individuals, selected using a total sampling technique. The analysis results show a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of placenta previa (p = 0.001, p < 0.05). These findings suggest that high parity is associated with an increased risk of placenta previa. This study provides an important contribution in identifying the risk factors of placenta previa that should be monitored by healthcare professionals.
